FREE QDRO SERVICES

Free QDRO services are now available for low to moderate income individuals. This means you can get help preparing a QDRO without having to worry about the cost.

Divorces can be tough, especially when it comes to dividing assets like retirement plans. That is where Qualified Domestic Relations Orders (QDROs) come into play. They are required court orders to divide retirement assets between divorcing spouses. However, preparing a QDRO can be complex and expensive, and not everyone can afford the cost of hiring a QDRO lawyer.

The Center’s ability to provide FREE QDRO SERVICES are thanks in part from referring organizations, donations from QDROCounsel, a legal technology company for retirement division, and the Legal Aid Infrastructure & Innovation Grant from the California Access to Justice Commission supported by the California State Bar.

In exchange for this support, QDROCounsel receives recognition for its corporate social responsibly in closing the justice gap by providing access to high-quality QDRO products to nonprofit legal services organizations, self-help centers & qualified individuals in financial distress. The financial relationship with QDROCounsel does not compromise the integrity or independence of the Center’s non-profit's operations, programs, or decision-making processes. We adhere to our mission and values in all our activities, and we do not allow any donor, including QDROCounsel to influence our decisions or policies. The Center believes that our relationship with QDROCounsel is mutually beneficial, and it allows us to better serve our community and achieve our strategic goals.
